In 2022, Grundfos, in collaboration with the International Water Association, launched the Youth Action for SDG 6 Fellowship to empower young water professionals worldwide. The program selected 13 outstanding fellows and provided them a global platform, including participation in the United Nations Water Conference. Mr. Muhammad Anique Azam from the Department of Mechanical Engineering was among the selected fellows. He co-authored the interim and final fellowship reports, with his work published as Subchapter 2.3 on youth acceptance of unconventional water for resilient natural rehabilitation. [Link]
As part of the fellowship requirements, Dr. Anique participated in an in-person gathering at the Grundfos Headquarters in Denmark. The September 2023 visit focused on collaborative discussions, knowledge exchange, and strategic planning for advancing sustainable water solutions.
