COURSE CONTENT

  • Condition Monitoring Methods: : vibration, oil, and performance analyses, Thermography: optical pyrometer infrared cameras, leakage detection, eddy current testing, ultrasonic testing, radiography, acoustic emission
  • Vibration Analysis: Vibration analysis and sources, vibration data types and formats, vibration transducers, accelerometers, vibration signals from rotating and reciprocating machines. Stationary random signals, cyclo-stationary signals, low shaft orders and subharmonics, force transmissibility and vibration isolation, tuned vibration absorber, mode shapes and operational deflection shapes. Fourier analysis, Hilbert transform and demodulation. 
  • Fault Detection: CPB spectrum comparison, time-frequency diagrams, Diagnostic techniques spectral Kurtosis and the Kurtogram Trending analysis, failure mode analysis, signature analysis, real time analysis.
