COURSE CONTENT
- Applications of energy storage to generation; battery energy storage, Alkaline, lead acid, nickel cadmium, nickel, cadmium hydride, lithium ion and lithium polymer and other types of batteries, advanced battery systems and hydrogen electrochemical cells; inductive storage based on superconducting magnetic field; compressed air storage systems, systems operation and performance; flywheel energy storage systems; Pumped hydroelectricity energy storage, system components, turbines and pumps, design aspects of pumped hydro system, integration of pump hydro energy storages system to the variable renewable energy generation systems; social, economic and environment aspects of storage technology.
